Success Stories

From scoring goals to drawing up a new gameplan

A former college soccer player, connected with Coach Caroline when she was feeling stuck and desired accountability around her habits. She expressed that her paycheck was pretty good yet felt she was bad with money. Each month she still felt stretched and wanted to find a way out of feeling trapped.

We started by looking at her spending habits for the previous month. We saw where funds were going and highlighted the areas that brought life versus that brought stress into her life. We also celebrated the money wins that made her feel confident like starting a cycling membership and choosing to make lunch a few more times in a week instead of ordering through a mobile app. The big ah-ha was creating new payment behaviors around her car loan. We uncovered the silent pressure that interest adds to a loan and got to work.

●   Designed a plan to pay off $9,000 car loan
●   Eliminated $1,300 in credit card debt and deleted credit card from digital wallet
●   Create a life plan to have fun spending and saving money
Freedom after debt payments

Two years out from college, this client paid off her student loans, has a paid off car and moved into a new apartment a month before our first coaching session.

With no debt payments, the one thing she needed to be careful of was her credit card spending. Even though she was paying off her card balance each month, she expressed that when she uses her credit card it feels like she has unlimited spending and she wanted to create a way to spend more on what she truly needs instead of impulse buys. We all need to be careful here and ensure we are only using the cards when we have the money to pay them off in full.

This learner was keeping track of her expenses and doing a great job. Our coaching sessions led to building a plan of wealth to open space for planning and goal building within the budget. We integrated planning for buckets of hobbies, relationships, health, and wealth.

● Established a changed budget to allow for dream building
● Created a plan to pay off credit card monthly
● Found space in her new budget to explore nonprofits she wanted to give back to

Lifelong learners are wonderful to be around. They are always curious to ask questions and see what else there is to soak up. They are changemakers.

This client graduated his undergrad program and stepped right into his Master’s program. He paid off most of undergrad loans but still had his graduate program loans kicking in. He was feeling the pressure of graduation around the corner. He felt like he should have been doing something different and that is where coaching began.

● Designed a plan to pay off $68,000 in loans
● Integrated a system of budgeting that felt reassuring and aligned with the hours that he could work around classes
● Opened space to brainstorm vision upon graduation of where to live, goal salary and desired lifestyle
